On December 29, 2021, against the backdrop of escalating government suppression of news media post the 2020 Hong Kong national security law, Stand News faced a raid by the Hong Kong Police Force. Senior staff were arrested, and the company's assets were frozen. Forced to dismiss its staff and halt operations, the majority of Stand News' online and offline works now only exist in online archives.
